Psalm 133 speaks of God's blessing being poured out when the brethren dwell together in unity. We at Lifeline are dedicated to doing our part to eliminate the barriers of denominationalism, striving, and competition that often exists among local fellowships by doing what we can to help the other leaders in our city more effectively reach their neighborhoods. In other words, part of our vision is to see their visions fulfilled, regardless of their denominational affiliations. While we cannot meet the needs of every church in the city, we can share the dreams of some of the local pastors and church leaders. In this small way, we can be a part of changing lives throughout the whole city.
You can help by praying for these precious leaders. Loving people can be hard work! The demands of ministry are many and spiritual leaders need wisdom, courage, perseverance, strength, joy, provision, refreshing and passion. Many have also made huge personal sacrifices by choosing the ministry over higher paying occupations and would be encouraged by a financial gift for their families. Some have stepped out in faith and begun additions to their homes or have bought property, believing God to provide building materials and helpers to establish places for people to gather. Others need Bibles or clothing to distribute to the families in their neighborhoods. Please prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you join with these leaders in some way; by a commitment to pray daily, a financial or material contribution, or by arranging a short-term missions trip to help out.
